Caribhoney, I just wanted to clarify the age. Are these chicks (now teenagers) 5 months old (got them two onths ago and they were 3 months old when you got them)?
As others have said, Brahmas should have a pea comb so #1 is a mix. If they really are 5 months old, they should be close to the point of lay and it would be normal to have a pink comb. In fact, I would expect the combs to be really red of they were cockerels. The other factor is that Brahmas are generally slow to mature and I think can be difficult to sex, so I wouldn't comment one way or another without more information.

As for Frizzles, you should be aware that if they get two copies of the Frizzle gene, the feathers can be very brittle and you will get semi-naked chickens. I am not saying that this is the case with yours, but if the feathers grow in and break all the time, or if they fail to grow in at all, this might be the case.
