Pedialtye can also be used. Gatorade (drink plentiful in US grocery stores) and Pedialtye (in most grocery stores and pharmacies here) need to be refrigerated once opened. Too few electroltyes isn't good but too many electroltyes isn't good either. Hard to know whether your hen needs any. A bit would probably be okay. In very hot weather where there's panting it can be helpful to spritz a bit on watermelon or something else they'll eat or drink.
