I think my hen is egg bound. I noticed yesterday, i have since put her in a bath for 30mins and did the whole finger deal this morning. Is there any idea on a time line for this. Should she lay soon if at all, should i try again later? How long before i might see a change? How long before i should kill her to end the pain? Would she still be safe to eat? All of this is very new to me and i am very much in the dark on this topic.

Maybe i should add when i did the finger deal she seemed to be spitting up water

For faster information, just type in egg bound in the search box at the top right of the page and it will bring up past posts about it.
