Help! I was told the breed of the chicks I bought were leg horns. They look way too big!

Cornish cross cockerel. This is the 100th case of this I've seen this year.

Those birds won't live long. They're meant to be eaten at 8 weeks old.
You have to be 100% right because these 5/6 week old chicks are almost the size of my buff Orpington outside a and there are about a-year-old. The legs are HUGE! Sigh.
 
The problem isn't that they are cockerels, the problem is that they are meat birds, and are meant to be in the freezer by eight or ten (usually too long) weeks of age. Their joints and hearts fail, and it's not pretty, or nice for them

I agree I was just making conversation . It’s just my luck this year I was under the influence that they were leg horns
