I’m doing research: What are some of the biggest problems or issues everyone has when incubating eggs? What would be the ideal incubator

I have owned a few of incubators over the years. My favorite is the Brinsea. Easiest one i have ever used.

Magicfly is a good inexpensive one to use, just watch the humidity.

Styrofoam ones, to me, are a bit too touchy and require constant micromanaging.

Worst one? The cheep yellow/white/ clear ones sold on Ebay.

Good to know. I have never hatched eggs, but I would like to.

Another vote for the Brinsea. I have put in 7 eggs and hatched 7 3X, 6 2X. The last time I hatched 7 (2 weeks ago) the eggs ranged from 2 weeks old to laid that day. And everywhere in between. One died a day after hatching is all. The Brinsea is basically a set-it and forget-it, except I add water everyday to the outside cup. Humidity stays 40%-49% always. I have the one with the automatic turner also.
