Help Identify Bantam Chicks

Here is Sage, our Black Breasted Red OEGB cockerel. @tn_artist guessed his coloring perfectly. This guy is finally starting to warm up, a little bit, to people. It was difficult to do anything with him whenever he was younger because he was so determined to get away from any human trying to handle him. He will tolerate being handled now, but not for too long. Being patient and giving treats is helping a lot. He has the scratchest voice, but is getting better and better at crowing. He's so funny because he always looks at me and expects a "Good job Sage!" after each crow. He seems to enjoy it when we talk to him, but he does not enjoy sharing the attention, it has to be all on him

@tn_artist My heart just broke for you and your daughter. Blueberry was our favorite guy and my daughter and I often spoke about him and the possibility of meeting him brought smiles to us. I am so so sorry. One thing that I hope you and your daughter can take comfort in is the fact that whatever it was, it was fast. That can be scary too, but if it's going happen, I'm grateful that it didn't drag on for him and for you guys. I believe I know exactly which storm you are referring to. Was it the morning that tornadoes came through a couple of weeks ago? We had our first loss a couple of weeks ago. A neighbors dog that is allowed to roam every morning came through and killed "Drake", our favorite drake. He was a gorgeously huge drake and was the most handsome Pekin I've ever seen, even though Pekins generally look extremely similar to one another, this guy was massive and he was gorgeous! I can't get your daughter off my mind. She's had so much loss. I know she really wanted some Seramas and to know that she got some and lost them, my heart breaks for her, and for you that not only has to deal with the pain of losing these birds that we get attached to, but also have to see your daughter through it. She's lucky to have you. Please know that my heart goes out to you both and I'm sending you both virtual hugs.
It was very fast, and we have been watching like hawks to see if any other birds act the same. Other than an egg bound hen they are all fine. One of our girls hatched out a tiny chipmunk striped baby. We are really hoping it's Blueberry s baby even though we don't have a self blue hen. It does look like we have two boys and two girls in the brooder (from TSC).
I'm sorry about your beautiful Drake. It's heart breaking to lose a pet, but gut wrenching when it's in such a violent way.

You are correct about the storms. We lost Bren's Serama, a blue silkie, a red frizzle, smooth red Cochin, three black Cochins, one frizzled, two smooth, and our only blue breasted red OEGB.
We have had more bird funerals than I care to think about. I hope the tide had turned and all will stay well. I hope the same for you and your daughter too.

Finely is our Silver Duckwing OEGB cockerel. He is a sweet guy to humans but works hard to keep "his" flock in order. Sage is the only other cockerel that he allows to crow without consequence and even they seem to threaten each other often. Finely also enjoys a "Good boy!" after each crow and loves it anytime we hangout with and talk to him. He eats meal worms like they'll be his last meal. He is an easy going little guy that enjoys human attention and his flock.

I need to get a better updated picture of him. He already thinks he is big enough to fight my Barred Bantam Cochin Cockerel! Thank God there was a fence between them! I've heard that these little guys will fight and my Barred Bantam Cochin Cockerel has already proven to be a relentless ruthless fighter when I tried to let my standard size (HUGE compared to bantams) cockerels run around with the bantam cockerels, in hopes of expanding my bachelor flock. Seems like the smaller birds are much more prone to fight. Maybe it's because of their size?

@tn_artist I was going to ask about the Self Blue OEGB chicks from TSC. That's amazing! I am so excited for you guys! By any chance, do you notice the huge beautiful dark eyes I keep referring to on these chicks? They're getting close to 7 or 8 weeks, right? Seems like we all got chicks around the same time

I believe my little X backed bird is a Japanese. His legs are so short so he is the shortest out of my 10 chicks. His tail isn't like any of my OEGB either. He is Mottled though so I don't think he is an Black Tailed White, but he is such a special little guy. I need to post an update on the rest, including him, so you can tell me what you think. He was one that the other member I reached out to wasn't 100% positive on. They guessed he was probably Japanese and BTW, but said he could be Mottled OEGB. He is definitely a cockerel, so no doubt there. Do you have a mate for your black Japanese Pullet? He is probably my favorite little guy, well him and the frizzled white cochin are my favorites

Yang, our Japanese girl is the only one unless there is one in the 1-2 week old brooder. (I doubt it though) My other daughter, Victoria choose a white and a black chick and named them Yin and Yang. Yin is looking like our buff laced sebright, which has us excited. We have one that is a year old, Toasted Marshmallow (Toast) and she is awesome. Her picture is my Avatar right now.
Our older group had 3 silver laced Cochins, 5 calico Cochins, 3partridge, a blue and a white Cochin. We have two Pyncheon, a white laced red Cornish, blue rosecomb, a couple white crested black polish and one white crested blue. Way to many cockrels!

Here is the most spoiled rotten bird we have, Rudy (aka Roo'dy). The personality in this bird is crazy! He is worse than a dog and will pitch a fit if he isn't picked up right away. Once he is picked up, he is the happiest cockerel on planet Earth and settles right down. Our only other cochin (barred bantam cochin), Carlos, wasn't ever this sweet, but he was a little spoiled. He is a jerk now, and is really bad about biting. I really hope Rudy doesn't turn out like that. Rudy will peck to get attention and if he doesn't get it, he will continue and get harder with his pecks. I am trying to work with him because I know this really isn't a good behavior, but it's not easy. I know that he isn't mean, at least not now. Carlos was already starting to bite at this age, but I chalked it up to not having adequate space. Once he got space, he stopped biting, but now he free ranges the majority of the time and has started biting again. I just don't want to make the same mistakes with Rudy, since he doesn't seem mean at all.

Rudy was the first to crow in this flock but now he gets punished and has to "crow then run and hide" to get away with it. He doesn't crow a lot, but he sure does have an adorable crow!

I guess 50% is the standard, but it's a lot. If I have 60% cockerels, I might just shed a tear or 2. The Pyncheon is still completely skin colored and is very small and shy, so I'm not giving up on her remaining a her and keeping my percentage of cockerels at 50%. My very first 3 chicks turned out to be cockerels 100%. I still have them, but only one of them is a sweet intelligent bird. The others 2 are so bad and human aggressive that I can't even let them free range anymore. It's probably my fault more than theirs because I didn't act appropriately.

Edited to add: Thanks to a member here, Mavis has been identified as a Splash Breasted Red OEGB. The genetics behind her coloring is amazing and incredibly exciting to me! Thank you @RoostersAreAwesome

This one hasn't been identified with 100% certainty yet. Mavis, looks like a Red Pyle from the front part, but then a splash in the rear. I don't know if this is a mixed breed or what. I couldn't find a Splash breasted Red or Red breasted Splash in the OEGB colors. She doesn't appear to have any other Easter Egger qualities. I just don't know about this one yet. She's easily handled and sweet. If I take her too far from her flock she definitely has a voice and uses it!

Edited to add: RoX has been identified as a Mottled Japanese Bantam. Thank you @RoostersAreAwesome

This is the other one that hasn't been identified. He had the X on his back and it's still there but it's much more thick and covers his back. He is so short but oh so sweet! I am in love with him. His name is now RoX. He seems pretty smart and loves being handled. This guy is a favorite
