Help Identify my 'stray' chicken? :)

The hen on the top photo of feathersite looks like a bantam from somewhere other than U.S.

Just to narrow it down, what color eggs does she lay and what size are the eggs?

nice bird.. i'd go to your nieghbors house and ask them what there missing... and tell them to take care of the birds alittle better

Her eggs are smallish...not tiny... they are an off white color. Will try to get a pic of one today around lunch.

lol, yeah.. I think they've gotten rid of everything.. I don't see anymore chickens when I drive by and the cages are all grown over with weeds ...

may pop over there later in the week but they aren't the most neighborly neighbors.. our whole little neighborhood kinda keeps to itelf (which I don't mind! lol)

I'm still new to the chicken keeping field.. what size defines a bantam? I would look at her and say she is not a bantam though... let me look for a different picture...
Hmmm... will take one today of her next to my RIR rooster that she stays with.. (anybody want him?) He's 3 months old.

Thanks for the continued input!

This is the reason why I think she's not a OEG hen. You mentioned she's not a banty's size. Anyway, I think she's a really nice looking game hen.

She looks like some of my American game fowl. She may be a cross, but if you are going to have chicks some time she will make a good mom.. I have 1 now with babies guineas.. I love her color..
I do have some pictures on my site if you would like to see them..

OEGs come in largefowl and bantam sizes. But this hen is an American Gamefowl of some type.

Why can't something cool like that come to visit me....all I get is regular old animals.....song birds, moles, and stuff like that...
She is great. No matter what she is.....I am glad she found a loving home.

A couple years ago we had two of his Bantam roosters shacking up together in my barn.... I think that is what made me start thinking of getting chickens.. when he came to take them home I was SO SAD to see them leave!!

I looked again and there are no chickens at his house anymore.. and my husband said he hasn't seen the older guy that did the chicken raising.. not sure if he moved or what.

Ah well.. *huggles Chicken*

Will try to take some pics this evening when I do chores.

Old English Gamefowl are all straight combed. This girl looks to be pea combed, thus Oriental influence that hints to American Game like the other posters have said. Very pretty girl, looks to have a blue gene at work in there somewheres, what fun
