Hello everyone! Lovely to meet you all! First time chicken mama here & I was curious if you all could help identify our mystery chick Cocoa. She was the only one of her kind at the feed store when we got her. The lady said she had no idea what she was but thought maybe Ameraucana cuz she was striped, which from what I gather would really be an Easter Egger. But I have seen some other chicks on here that also start off chipmunk looking. She is 4 weeks old now but is smaller than her barred rock & buff Orpington same age siblings. Plus she has no tail. What is she lol? And could she be a he even though her comb isn’t showing any indications? Thanks in advance! ❤️

Oooo very interesting, didn’t know about the comb thing. Do brown leghorns look like chipmunks when they are small? I was hoping for blue green eggs but if not that’s ok too lol. Will have to keep our eyes peeled. I was curious cuz she has no tail too

I think she is a brown leghorn chick. Very cute, I love their little eyeliner! I'd love to see progress pictures as the little one ages.

I think it’s a toss up between Welsummer & Brown Leghorn. Have to wait & see what her body shape & earlobe color will be as I guess the two are pretty identical lol
