Hi there.

I started noticing some sort of white stuff around my Easter Egger hen's ear last night. Her ear looks a little strange, and has splotches of white, which I researched and am guessing is favus. Can anyone back me up on that? There have been no other symptoms besides the ear; egg production and behavior in both of my girls is normal. They've never had any other issues at all. If it is Favus, I heard that Lotrimin could help, or anything with miconazole. Anything else?

Thanks so much.

That looks normal to me for an Easter Egger--mine has always had a red/white splotched earlobe, probably because of her mixed breed ancestry.

Okay well that's good to hear. For some reason it just hit me how strange her ear looked, but as long as it's not harmful I'm good! Thanks for your reply.
