We were given one chicken, my daughter bought 4, then we were given one more. Suddenly we have a flock! Their current pen/coop situation is temporary while we wait for my dad to have time to build a proper coop. I would love to have some help identifying the breeds/genders. They all have names (I have children, of course the chicks have names!) even though we have no idea the gender of them. Can anyone help identify breed/gender? We were told that Echo's mom was a Golden Sex Link, but father was unknown. Local farm supply said Dahlia, Molly, and Eggsorcist are Rhode Island Reds and Hex is Barred Rock. We were also told that they were 90% sure these four were hens. A friend allowed her children to get chicks from Tractor Supply. One died and they were left with Stormy being all alone. They asked if we wanted Stormy to join our flock. Stormy came from a bin of pullets, but they don't remember what the breed said.
