Help Identifying Duck Breed

A group member of the Michigan Duck Exchange recently posted this picture asking for help identifying the breed. The duck is currently w/ a wild life rehab and they are unsure of whether it is truly wild, or a domestic breed.

Any help identifying the breed would be greatly appreciated. This duck was located on east side of Michigan, just a few clips north of Detroit.

Yes, I think it's a Greater Scaup drake coming out of eclipse. They are a wild species.

Definitely a wild duck... Greater Scaups are one of the blue billed types, but there are several... most likely that is it though... very pretty...

Yes, it is a wild breed of duck. I am also leaning towards juvie greater scaup male. Hope the wildlife rehab is able to help him.
