So I recently took in a group of hens that are all various barnyard mixes, but most I have a pretty good idea of the parentage... but there's one I'm still not sure on, and that would be this lovely ladyView attachment 2492649View attachment 2492650

Leaning towards a Marans and Crested Cream Legbar mix but was wondering if you fine people had any thoughts on her!

I think she might have some silkie blood that gives her facial skin that slight purplish color. Not a first generation silkie cross, though, and just a guess.

Thanks again for the heads up on the leg mites. Her and two of the other new hens all had them. Started treating them today and cleaned out the bedding in the coop.

I still can’t tell what type it is, maybe a modified pea comb? If it’s a single comb with extra points she could be a polish cross.
