Due to covid, some places are not letting volunteers in to walk dogs and help out. You would have to contact the shelter you were interested in to see what their current policy is

I have not heard of them/looked at them- might just me not knowing things, but it kind of sounds like that cross wouldn't be very healthy?
They sound ADORABLE, though!

Our Golden Cocker lived to be 15 years old. They were very popular many, many years ago. I haven't looked to see if they are still crossing those breeds or not. But our dog was a great little fella.

Here in Germany, most of the shelters actually depend on the private dog walkers, because they are mostly overcrowded and understaffed.

Great now I want a wire haired kromfohrlander.

I just recently learned about that breed myself on a FB group and they seem like amazing little dogs!! I had forgotten about them for a second though but from their description they sounded incredible
