Help! I'm looking for a dog breed that....

After all this trouble, we're probably going to get a golden retriever puppy that has smaller parents.
Potentially this specific puppy:

Cute!

Is this from the same source you mentioned before, that bred your previous Golden Retriever?
Nope, this is through https://www.puppyspot.com/ , which allows you to find available puppies, find one that specifically matches your needs, and transport them to you. They screen breeders before allowing them to list puppies (only around 10% of breeders are accepted), and all dogs have health tested parents.

That’s what they say but honestly I would make 100% sure. I don’t see any way to directly contact that breeders? Which seems a little fishy to me. But granted I only looked at a couple puppies. I’d just make sure. Also be sure that health testing is actual health testing like OFA or PennHip for hips and elbows and also cardiac, eyes, etc. or at the very least hip and elbows and not just “Embark tested” or whatever. Cause honestly the latest thing is to say they’re health tested but then it’s only Embark. Not saying this place does that but lots do and it’s basically worthless so ask to see the actual clearances and everything. Though honestly I don’t think I would buy a puppy if I couldn’t talk directly with the breeder. That seems a bit sketchy to me even if they claim to have clearances and stuff. I would check out www.gooddog.com that one has a lot of actual reputable breeders on it. There are still a couple iffy ones but most are great.

I just put my thoughts over in the other thread:

This is getting confusing, having the discussion in two places :)
