My grandchildren went out and found that 3 of the 5 chicks that our hen was brooding on, hatched and that another egg is cracked. The hen was only taking care of one of the chicks but we got the other 2 underneath her and she has been sitting on them all day - but not in the next where the last 2 eggs are, so they have been abandoned. My granddaughter brought the eggs in and put them under a light (I know crazy but she was upset at the thought of not trying) AND I can hear one chick peeping. Should I put it back under the hen? Does it have a chance?
