I'm really worried about my chicken. For background, I found her a few weeks ago running down the street, with no upper beak. I posted ads but she wasn't anybodys. I drove her to my friend's place(they have chickens and ducks) and let her stay there until I finished building my coop. On the drive there she seemed okay but she kept stretching her neck and opening her mouth in a silent scream/yawn motion. She stopped doing that once she was no longer panicking, other than occasionally making the same motion when there was too much dry food in her throat and needed water. On the drive back to my house she did the yawn thing a little more but stopped once we got home. I got her in the coop this saturday and she seemed good, very hungry and very friendly. I got her a friend on Sunday, and they are getting along pretty well. This Monday morning however I noticed her crop was still full, and was kind of hard. She's still ravenous but is also drinking a ton of water today. I am terrified my chicken is sick or if maybe I should wait and see. She spends a lot of time in the coop, but that's mostly because she is getting a bit bullied and can't peck back. I need tips on how to diagnose, and when to take her to the vet. Thank you so much

UPDATE I got home from work and she was perched in the coop, and her crop was super squishy, so I think it was a false alarm. Their crops are gonna be firm if they are filled with firm pellets I suppose. I'm just nervous, and want both my girls as happy and healthy as possible.
