I've often seen bargains & things I'd like to have, but never within driving distance, and wondered if there was anything any closer.

Just a thought here. I could make a simple web site to put all that on state by state, if enough of y'all would be interested. There should be a click-able link somewhere on here if the moderators would be willing to place it here. Maybe something like the Frequently Asked Questions form at the top, only in the Breeds section. Of course there would also be a click-able link to bring you back to the BYC site. Y'all talk it over, and if it's a go, we'll work out more details. It shouldn't take long to get one up & running.

This sounds like it would work better as a searchable database on the site.

Example:

There are four fields: Name, location, contact information, breeds.

From there you could do a keyword search and narrow it down by location.

With a little tweaking, the database could connect with the user list, so people can update their own information. When you go to edit your profile you would see an extra field for breeds. Then someone would need to attach that field to a search option when the member list was browsed.
