Try wrapping a blanket or towel around it to stabilize temperature, also a bottle of water works to hold it steady...not sure if it will kill them, hopefully they will just hatch late....just try to get that temp up to at least 99

:) Thanks. I have towels on it. This was a custom built incubator. The heat source is at top. So it gets colder as you go down. :barnie Iv'e been panicking ALL morning! :hit

I understand the panic...mine dropped too but i got it stable n had a great hatch...just do ur best to get it back up and hopefully, if anything, the outcome will be delayed although depending on the time it was down, that might not even happen...good luck and happy hatching!!!
 
No thermostat whatsoever?!?
We r talking homemade right?
Maybe strofoam or tinfoil will help better for the cracks or edges in the wood. Or the op could caulk the outside edges.. Anything might help. We know temperature is paramount for hatching
Oh I agree, I just don't think that'll gain 10 degrees in plywood that far down. I could be wrong though.

This incubator doesn't have a thermostat.
