HELP! Incubator quit day 26!

He's alive, but not doing much. When I tap on the shell he doesn't make any noise or move more. Anything else I should look for?

The other that pipped a few hrs after him seems pretty much the same. The one after that I can see opening and closing its beak but no tapping or anything. The fourth is tapping a little still.

OK Lets go ahead and give them ALL safe holes, I like to use tweezers, find a spot at the air cell, what I do is twist the tweezers in one spot, kind of like drilling a hole. until it breaks threw, NOW if you have NEVER done this before, get an egg out of the Fridge and Practice first, so that you get the feel of how much pressure you need to apply to make it ETC.

To much pressure will break the egg, to little pressure you'll never make the hole.. But If you have done it before, go ahead and make a small hole at the Air cell..

ONLY do a safe hole for those that are 24 hours or longer..  Sorry I should have clarified that.

Okay. I am 99% positive they are all 24 hrs or longer. I had contemplated earlier what I might use to make the holes if needed and had thought of using one of these teeny phillips screwwdrivers and carefully tapping it in - it would make just a really litle hole... would that work? I can practice on a fridge egg first.

The Tip looks to big, you only need the hole NO bigger then the tip of a pen..

Pretty close?

I know you know what you're doing more than I do! But I just hope I can use something to do this quickly I'm afraid to take too long using tweezers and I have two very little kiddos who make it hard for me to spend more than a few moments on anything...

The itty bitty screwdriver looks great to me! I have some of those, wish I had thought of using it. I used the sharp end of a seam-ripper.
