HELP! Incubator quit day 26!

They run towards me, but not all the way to me, unless I have treats! So we're still working on it too! I try to move slowly, and take my hand to them slow and low. At their level. They don't run nearly as much now.

Ah, okay, so it really just takes some time. I'm ready for a long haul then. :) I suppose it's good they stay somewhat independent as we are going to free range ours as much as we can... but I can't help but want them to want me haha

Same here. I'm sitting outside with them now, watching them swim in the kiddie pool. Eventually we will move them to our "camp/farm" which is about 45 minutes from our home. But I'll keep them home for a while.

They are all doing wonderfully! I am relieved and happy to say I no longer have any worries about whether or not Crook and Twister are going be fine. Crook's neck is pretty much normal now - it's not easy to tell which one he is anymore haha! Twister has stood up just fine for his/herself while with the others and they of course all love being together. The only thing, which is no huge deal, is that when everyone eats Twister mostly just stands aside and watches and tries to grab whatever pieces of food land around on the floor of the brooder, so for now I have just been placing a couple little piles here and there to make sure he/she will get food. AND they're all just so stunkin' cute.

I'm so happy this ended out well! Very cute ducks!! What type are they?

And just one "proud momma" pic. That's tiny Twister in the front :)

That is great news about Crook and Twister. So glad they got better. They are really pretty now that they are fluffed out. I know you are proud of these babies.
