Hey everyone. I've been dealing with my layers losing the underside feathers for a month now.
No bugs
Not red at all
No worms that I've found

I've added garlic to their water so far. And they are all still laying. (Not all the birds are losing feathers).

Today I noticed 1 seems to have a swollen vent and is leaking pops out. I washed it all off but there's a part that seems attached.

Help please.

Pic 1 is of the feather loss
Pic 2 is today of the swollen vent after a soak and wash.

Hi @Roxsea :frow Welcome To BYC

In the first photo it looks like you have some feather picking going on. Observe your flock during roosting to see if you have one or more offenders plucking out the feathers.

The second photo is a prolapsed vent-care instructions are here: http://www.the-chicken-chick.com/prolapse-vent-causes-treatment-graphic/

Okay. I will take a look tonight. If there is, how do stop it? How long after dark do I check? They tend to wait right until dark to go in.
