Help! INternal laying!!

Discussion in 'Emergencies / Diseases / Injuries and Cures' started by earlybird10842, Mar 2, 2013.

  1. My four year old sex-link Sunrise has very clear signs of internal laying (egg on rear, swollen abdomin) Is there anything I can do for her, short of surgery, etc?

My little banty hen, Clover, once had internal laying. My mom is a vet, and she was going to the vet office to get tools for the surgery when Clover layed the egg. We know she was laying internally, it just came out. The egg may or may not come out. I think the best thing you can do for her is to put her in surgery if she doesn't show improvement in about 45 minutes. My RIR hen had to have surgery because of internal laying, and she came out fine.

Sorry, I'm not very helpful. :(
