Hello
I’m new to this forum and to owning backyard chickens. We have two Australorps that are both 16 weeks old, but one has a significantly bigger comb and tail feathers.
The bigger, more friendly chicken, called LB, is also a shiny purple colour. The other (Eva) has more brown flecks and her comb isn’t as red or big. Can you tell what sex LB is? We thought we had brought two girls but now I’m worried we may have a rooster.

Thanks
Narelle

They are both pullets and will be laying soon. They are not purebred Australorps.
thank you for the quick response. I think the lady said they were three-quarters Australorps - out of curiosity, how can you tell?
