Help! Is my egg dead?

I've had this egg for nearly two weeks. He was a rescue so I don't now exactly how old he is, but I think we're at about day 25. He's the usual dark mass taking up most of the shell, but I don't see him moving anymore and I can't make out the large veins that used to surround him. Is he dead, or just getting ready to hatch?

Could be just resting. When they are that far along in development, often times it's hard to see movement. Good luck and have fun...

I sure hope so. He's the only one from this batch who's lived this long and I'm really rooting for him.
