Thanks to everyone's efforts, I've been able to make arrangements with a member who lives about an hour from me, someone who has already hatched a couple of clutches of duck eggs this spring and who has several incubators running. I won't reveal her name since she hasn't posted publicly on this thread, just in case she prefers to stay out of the limelight, but I'm very grateful to her -- as well as to the other lovely folks who made offers here and through PM. Y'all are a great bunch of people!
The eggs were supposed to get here yesterday, but now USPS tells me they'll be delivered today. So now I get to obsess over whether they're going to show up.Then they'll be off to their foster momma for a few weeks!
I guess I never did mention -- these will be Ancona ducklings, my favorite breed. I'll post pics once they bust out into the world!
I can't wait to see them!
