Help is this a boy or a girl I am stumped

That baby rooster was with the silkies because he went to a new home. But he was part of this hatch.

I have a picture of the siblings that hatched with it and they are definite boys and a definite girl. This one was just an odd ball out.

Most likely, the parents both carry some recessive gene that changes the color. If they do, you will probably get more of these odd-colored ones if you keep hatching from the parents. And some of the normal-looking siblings may carry whatever gene it is, too.

It's a Crested Legbar pullet, but the atypical coloring results from the parents carrying some other genes. Often people run Cream, Opal, etc. together in breed pens and that muddies up their genetics.

Okay thank you for that. I am learning a little bit more today.

Here is the wiki page on Legbars. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Legbar

They don't even mention "Opal". Feathersite also fails to mention anything other than Cream. I'm not really sure where you could go to get more information.
