HELP IS THIS NORMAL? Update.chick alive

No I do not. I am trying to get in up now. I have it in a double boiler with hot water under and in a tote with light on it. How about draping the pot opening with a wet towel?? Will that help with the moistier??

Well I do not know. It's shell is half gone and half of the chick is too. I do not know what she will do to it. She is a newbie.

Has anyone tried this before??

You will have to watch very carefully or that membrane will get hard and the chick won't be able to get out..

Moisten it first and then go ahead and peel that off UNLESS you see Blood.. Then stop..

But moist that membrane and get it off soon as you can..

I had one I had to help earlier back in March and it took me over 6-7 hours to get it completely out.. I seen a little blood so I had to lay it back under the edge of heat lamp.. Not directly under it..

After it had grown more, and keep moisting that membrane,, It finally just torn off easily and a wet little weak chick was out.. Back under the edge of the heat and within a few hours it running around with the hen and the other brood..

THANKS!!!!!!!
