We have a broody hen hatching chicks, this one appears to have a large vent and her intestines are stuck to the shell material. At least that’s how it looks. Momma has hatched 4 others but is no longer setting on the nest or wanting anything to do with this chick. She is inside under a heat lamp at the moment.i don’t know what to do, I appreciate any direction you can give me

That is just the yolk sac and the “Umbilical Cord” which attaches it to the egg. If you leave it in the incubator and let it dry it will dry up and make a “plug”. It will get hard and fall off in about a week or less.

so there is nothing I need to do? I do not have an incubator, can I just keep the chick warm under a heat lamp?

Was it hatched under a hen?
yes and no, the hen hatched out 4 chicks already yesterday and has left her nest. She wants nothing to do with it. I noticed this one hatching this morning and have been keeping an eye on it and momma hen to see if she would take over and she has not. I was afraid she would just lay there and get too cold so I decided to bring her in under a heat lamp

Ok then yes, the heat lamp should work. Just make sure it isn’t too hot because the chick may not be able to move because it is too hot/cold.
