we were leaving to pick up another one in case something happened to her and she wasn’t breathing. We think it’s just failure to thrive. Our new baby is a little salmon favorelle and if you put her hand in the brooder she will run up and snuggle with your hand.

Yes sounds like your little one really was a fighter but sadly it was too hard. Hopefully your other babies distract you a little bit Your new baby sounds like a little snuggle bug, I hope she helps you to get over the loss - sending hugs.

Sorry for your loss. Are you using a heat source? When picking out chicks, I would recommend picking the mist active ones as soon as they arrive at the feed stores, and make sure they don’t have pasty butt.

Yes we have a heatlamp. And none of them had pasty butt.
