Help....little chick sick...sour crop?

keep going with the vinegar water for at least 7 days, then make a weaker solution to give all your chicks all the time to prevent this again. If she is pooping, pecking and acting more feisty, then she may be ok soon. Just make sure she drinks enough to stay hydrated and doesn't eat anything that's not soft and easy to digest for several days. You can soak her crumbles in water to soften them, but don't give her that for a day or two. Keep with the egg, yogurt, baby food and vinegar water, and maybe a bite or two of oily bread.

Hi, I am having a similar problem with a week old Aracana. She was fine yesterday and then today just seems to be off... she wont eat or drink and just stands there with her eyes closed. She moves around a little bit when the other chicks run into her. I just separated her to see if she could poop because I couldn't tell with the other chicks in the same cage. She hasn't pooped in the last 20 minutes or so. She drank a little when I put her beak in the water but she wont do it on her own. This is the bird my step son got me for my birthday and I really want to do anything I can to save the little thing. I am SUPER new to raising chicks. I took the chicks outside for the first time yesterday and wonder if she ate something that is blocking her from being able to poop... if this is the case is there anything I can do?

update

she's thrown up one more time as i massaged her crop.
her crop has gotten much smaller now.
and there are two new poop spots in her cage still green though.

she wont eat or drink water on her own. i need to feed it to her still but still holding on.

would baby food with just carrots in it be okay for her?

and with the eggs do i just hard boil it and take the yolk to feed her?

and i just bought plain yogurt for her. i hope thats okay

i was wondering if its better to leave her in the brooder with the other chicks so they could cuddle or to leave her by herself.
the brooder she's in right now has the warmer lamp that other chicks find too hot but she likes sleeping under. but i was wondering if she would be less stressed being with the other chicks. but then again one of the chicks seems a little older and is more active andi was wondering if she's getting enough sleep cause of the active chick.

which brooder would be better for her?
the original one with her friends
or the warmer one?

HELP
She took a worse turn for the night

she can't even lift her head
she just lies there now.
she went to drink water once and pooed and came back
and completely exhausted not moving jsut lying there

i tried to feed her some pedialyte and got couple drops in
she's not eating at all
her fat crop is all gone now completely flat
i'm assuming she managed to throw it all up

i'm afraid that its my fault
did i damage her somehow while i massaging her crop?
is that why she's not moving now?

what do i do? please help
i'm afraid she'll die tonight...
PLEASE HELP

make a broth of the chick starter, drip it on her beak-

then, mix some egg yolk in it, and drip that, and see if she will take it

remember.... always- some chicks won't survive no matter what wee do.. now go try that and post ok??? will check in a few minutes

i mixed the chicken started but she chokes on it
i think overall she's too exhausted from the throwing up process
she'd been throwing up all day and now i think she doesn't have energy left

do i mix raw egg yolk or do i boil it?

should i just let her sleep and rest?...i'm afraid she's just going to die during the night...

do you have any instant oatmeal? make a very thin gruel, almost like water, drip it on her beak, instinctively she will suck it in- same with the chick starter- it has to be a broth, so she gets some nutrition into her- but not thick at all- try liquid yolk for now, but not cold, like she would get from the egg- as exhausted as she is, she doesn't have the strength for solids- did you check those threads?
