Help! lol

Close talking teachers with really bad breath -- no matter how effective or fun they are -- they are always a 'bad' teacher.

Teachers that don't have expertise in what they teach.
Teachers that don't like students.
Teachers that have low expectations of their students.
Teachers that are so invested in an ideology that they penalize students for having different ideas.
(This last one isn't common in math and physics, more of a humanities problem)

very hard to judge what woud be considered a bad teacher now as had grown up from eighties onwards when we had a whole different meaning of bad in comparison [and even worse with each decade].

cant think of anything other than bias against specific students, automaticaly expecting 'difficult' or struggling pupils to always be bad or failing-thats exactly what they will get if they never see them being any different.

surprised if teachers can get away being bad these days because of how strict the law and governing organisations like OFSTED are, plus kids will be quick to tell teachers their rights or report them for abuse if a teacher gets strict.
they are so privilidged that they will never be actualy abused by a teacher.

chick,
just wondering-are thinking of being a teacher/in the process of becoming one?

Teachers that don't know how to teach their subject. They may 'get' it, but can't translate their knowledge to their students.

Teachers that think that their students should come in with an understanding of their class, even if no pre-requisite is required.

Teachers in an environment that supposedly is encouraging of older students, who may have jobs and/or previous other commitments, who are inflexible where attendance is concerned regardless of the student's performance in class and on tests.
