Help! Maggots under my cochin's skin!

Me and some friends were bathing my male Cochin when one of them spotted a maggot under his vent. The maggots have been burrowing at his skin. Maggots have also been under his skin. I do not know if he will die... He is supposed to go to fair with me in June 11th. As I type, two of my friends are scrubbing the hole to get the maggots out and picking out the maggots under his skin with tweezers. Help! Can someone tell me how to save him?

UPDATE: He is on the road to recovery. No further advice needed.

Ugh! I hope someone will chime in soon. Are you sure they are maggots and not some sort of worm? I am wondering if antibiotics is the answer, as I would think the only reason for there to be maggots would be from a sore of some sort? Again hopefully someone with experience will chime in and I can learn along with you! Good luck!

I'm sure that they are maggots. One of my friends is a chicken 4-H leader and she said they were. I sure hope that he gets better. Thank you.

my hen has this now and I've been posting lots but no one has replied.
her maggots went under her skin too.
i bathed her...with shower on hose in sink - rushing out maggots with water...not too much pressure.. 3 or so times last night. picking out maggots as they crawled up. There were big and very tiny ones. I had to be so careful not to pinch her with the tweezers.
Vet rinsed today with hibiclens(chloraheximine diluted that you can get at pharmacy). put on antibiotic ointment and she started clavimox.
I sprayed the area with the worm pesticide that I read worked for people who posted(it's blue).
I had cut her feathers so the maggots couldn't hide as well. The vet cut off more. around her vent area.
I'm about to give her another rinse. This is gut wrenching to do, isnt' it?
I will buy swat.
Need to be sure the other hens are ok.
There was no initial wound. We think that she got sore from her droppings attaching to her feathers. I had bathed her last week and saw nothing of this. Began to give her de wormer this week which we stopped until the maggots are gone as vet recommended.
I hope to see a big change tomorrow as I don't want her to suffer.
How long did it take for you to see that your hen was getting relief/better?
I just cannot get all the tiny maggots ...I try. They go back inside of her. : (
