I'll be able to place an order to add to my flock of 5EE's and one little banty.
Hubby is sad all my girls lay bluegreen eggs as he wanted diversity.

New additions need to be:
supper friendly
more quiet than loud
lay something other than bluegreen eggs
cold hardy
good layers
ok with confinement though they do get to free range at least once a day while I'm outside.

Choose from White Rocks, New Hampshires, Rhode Island Reds, Barred Rocks, Black Sex Links, Hubbard Golden Comets, Babcock White Leghorns, Black Australorps, brown Leghorns, Red Cross, Columbian Rock Cross and Dekalb Amberlinks. These will be arriving next week and are $4.25 per pullet.

Araaucanas, Golden Laced and Silver Lace Wyandottes, Black Giants, Light Bramhas, Speckled Sussex, Buff Bramhas and Dark Bramhas Pullets are also available for $4.50 per pullet and will arrive next week.

Love your wisdom

Pick 2

Australorps, or Golden Comets... Australorps are sure friendly, quiet, and hold the world record for laying. My girls lay these huge eggs, that sometimes don't fit in a large size egg carton!

Australorp or a Rock (either Barred or white) My BR isn't super quiet, but I don't consider her loud either. And she gives me the largest eggs. Australorps are really heavy layers also. Neither are particularly cold hardy though. They have big straight combs that can get frostbite.

ETA: My light brahma is cold hardy and a great winter layer. Wyandotte's would be cold hardy also, but I've heard they are loud.
