If you go to Metzers site it'll say which ones you can do that with - but the pilgrims are one you can't do it with
any of them that have an asterix * it says you can only order pairs or straight run.
That is one reason I went with toulouse, too - so I could get the trio instead of a pair or two pair of pilgrims. But, you could get a pair of pilgrim and an extra toulouse female, if you wanted to try that.
edit --- from their site.... (italics added by me, cause I missed that the first few times reading it cause I tend to be slow that way
)
For the White Chinese, Embden, Toulouse and African you can only order
up to two more females than males (pairs, one female, two females, one male and three females, two males and four females, etc.). The remaining breeds can only be sold straight run (not sexed) or in pairs. Canada geese are only sold straight run. Call if you have a question.
so with those breeds listed there, you can get extra females - but the others (pilgrims, and the others not listed here) you have to get a pair or straight run.
