Help me decide how to worm my flock?

why doesnt everyone use it then? like, how did I end up thinking safeguard was the way to go
Dont get me wrong, there's nothing wrong with Safeguard and it's effective and the 125ml bottle is cheaper than 500ml bottle of Valbazen. I dont recommended using Safeguard when birds are in molt. Additionally you have to use more of it for a longer period of time (5 days) to eliminate capillary worms. Capillary worms are very common and can be deadly to chickens by their sheer numbers.
You only need to dose twice with Valbazen and use less. It will also treat tapeworms and flukes. But for tapeworms it requires withholding feed for 24 hours, increased dosages over several days, a 24 hour break, then repeated again for several more days. It's easier and better to use Equimax equine paste to treat tapeworms with only 2 dosings.

oh the cost makes sense. I'm thinking based on the fact that 3 of 5 days polished off one 125mL bottle & 1 bottle of Valbazen is cheaper than 2 bottles of Safeguard...but I guess if you had like 3 chickens that would change things. Haha.

I havent seen any worms in dropping from my chickens tbh - not saying they arent there or that it was a bad idea to worm or anything like that - but so far all the worms I've seen have been in the 2 peachicks who came from somewhere else, not born here. I'm checking nighttime chicken droppings but they're free ranging during the day.

The peas are more flighty for sure but... this happened?

this was in their poop. havent looked it up yet.

Give your girls diatomaceous earth and apple cider vinegar and garlic and pumpkin/squash seeds. I have never used any medicine on my chickens DE, ACV, and pumpkin seeds work perfectly every time, and you will be able to eat the eggs all you want.

Unfortunately none of that stuff you mentioned will treat nor kill worms. As far as pumpkin and squash seeds, the seeds must be crushed to release curcurbitin and a chicken would have to eat a truckload of them to be effective.

I know that there are some people online that say that, but I know that those things work. I've had chickens and goats dying from worms and I healed them through herbs and the other things that I mentioned. I've had tons of chickens and goats for a long time and have never had one death from worms and I've never used any medicine! some more herbs that work for deworming are Cayenne pepper fruit, Clove bud, Fennel seed, Garlic Bulb, Ginger Root, Hyssop leaf, Mullein leaf, Thyme leaf, Wormwood leaf/herb to make it simpler for people to deworm their animals they can just buy this herb mix: https://www.firmeadowllc.com/store/..._supports_body_in_foreign_matter_removal.html

Those herbs work, I know they do because I have used them lots of times.
