Help me figure out this predator....

The area available for an aerial predator to enter is pretty small. Risky for expanded wings to pounce and take off again. Not impossible, but i would lean towards a terrestrial predator. Bobcat, fox, coon are more likely. Bobcats or foxes will often grab n go. Preferring to eat in the privacy of nearby cover often without leaving even a feather behind.

hmmm ...the fence is scalable easily i would assume. and we have lots of bobcats. But there's a small hawk hanging around screeching so I wonder if my hole was big enough. Oh well i have it covered now. She for sure was making a lot of noise for quite a while before I noticed her gone, so all kinds of things in the woods were attracted i'm sure. I live next to hundreds of NC mountain forest acres next to the french broad river.
