help me find a hatchery

i wouldnt order from meyer. i ordered and recieved chicks with very noticeable defects that should have been noticed in packing

I don't know why IDEAL calls it $25 minimum . .. .its more like $15.

Couple of alternatives: One, look at your local feedstores, many sell chicks in the spring and will special order for you. Not only would you get a variety but avoid shipping costs all together plus the feedstore would be responsible for losses. Two, find others in your area that are willing to split an order. This would lower both the per chick price and spread the shipping cost.

I am taking woodmorts advise and finding someone to 'go in on an order' from McMurray. I bought from them this Fall and the stock was very healthy and accurate.

Not sure of the min. order but Welp has free shipping on all orders of birds.

What about Willamette Valley Hatchery? They look to have better quality birds. Has anyone ordered from them?
