Help me hatch (and raise) some pheasants! UPDATED with PICS!!

I have 2 out and 3 more pipped. We shall see... I need to bump up the humidity but am afraid to open the incubator. It has been in the high 80's - 90's here so with the AC running the house is getting dry. (It was 96 out today

The brooder has to be at 95 degrees the first week. Then each week drop the temp 5 degrees until they are feathered out about 5 weeks, then they shouldn't need heat unless you get a cold snap.

I couldn't take it anymore.

I just candled.

I only see aircells in 2 eggs. I think 2 I could have pulled, but I don't trust my eyes. LOL

I think the other 4 are internal pips. The eggs look full all the way up so I hope something decideds to hatch.

Nothing at all from these eggs. They were due yesterday.

I'm sure I've seen internal pips since yesterday, so getting a little nervous.

Here is this weeks hatch,,we only collect ornamental eggs on Sunday eve,so every week on Tuesday we have a new bunch, and this weeks lucky number was 15 ,3 were yellow golden,4 were dark red throats,4 was red goldens, and 4 was lady amherst. We have 3 hens of each color, the red goldens and the lady amherst hens are 2 years old, yellow and dark red throat hens are only 1 year old. Each week fertility has been a wild guess because of the crazy spring we have had.

Was looking for hatching the 7th/8th - two hatched, one died part way out. I don't know at what point to give up and don't know on candling these if it was accurate. I've tried pheasant sites/forums but there's little that touches on more than volume. Seems like if the basics aren't right then it's just volume of dead eggs.

I can't afford $20/chick...and now have ONE pheasant - which they can't be kept with chickens so means finding a mate 'somewhere' providing it lives.

Didn't figure they'd all hatch but did think more than 1 would.

It;s hatchday here again and looks like we will have 17 ornamentals make it this week. Slowmoneyfarm,,I know it can be disgusting, and I feel your grief, but with shipped peacock eggs.We bought 15 Cameo peacock eggs,,1 hatched last week, the rest are due today and tomorrow,,candling them showed only 3 more was dark,,and I cannot hear anything inside them today, quitters,,,so we are batting about 5% on shipped peafowl eggs this spring,

My last hatch had 4 of gbo's eggs in there...not one egg hatched

My current hatch has 18 or so 'local' ringneck, melanistic, and snow pheasant eggs....when I peeked in there earlier, one of the snow pheasants was pipped

At least I got 1 blue baby from gamebirdsonly's eggs, and it's at least 2 weeks old. So looks like I've got me one blue ringneck

I have some Ringneck Pheasant eggs due to hatch on June 24th. I just set more eggs today. This will be my first Pheasant egg hatch. I candled the eggs and about half of the eggs showed little or no development. I am ready...

I had 30 eggs from locals: 12 from a friend as 'payment' for a beautiful melanistic cock I gave her this winter, and 18 bought at the local auction. Out of the 30 eggs, 18 (I believe) went into lockdown. Out of the 18 or so eggs, 7 hatched. 1 of those died.

I so hate pheasant eggs

Luckily, the friend who paid me with eggs also gave me 7 ringneck youngsters. They are doing quite well at 6 or so weeks old and getting way too big for their brooder! I'm going to have to find a new place to put them soon.
