How do I help them? They hatched last night

My 3 babies have I believe is splayed leg? How do I help them?

Awww they are adorable! Yes, it’s splayed leg, and it’s nothing you did wrong.

We had a chick just like that 5 weeks ago when we put him in the brooder after hatching In 2 days he was perfectly fine

Thank you so much, the one baby, (I’m naming her Precious), is so bad, that she falls over on her back and can’t get up. Poor baby lays there crying so bad, makes me wanna cry

Yes our little silkie he would just gobble araound and then fall on his back and scream and I would have to help him and then over 2 days he started wobbling up and knocking into the waterer and then somehow it just stopped

Precious is also holding her head to her right, my left. Like it’s too heavy to hold up. Could it be because she is so tired?

Aww...poor babies!

You need to jump on this fast, if they go too long, the tendons will stretch.

You can use bandaids, vet wrap or such soft things to pull the legs together. Wrap it around the lower ankle above the feet.

Keep these one for at least a week or so until the legs allow the chick to stand. Also, some drinking glass therapy works too, put them in a deep short narrow drinking glass for 15 mins a couple times day without the wrap on allowing them to develop the muscle to stand.

If you do this now, most likely you can save them.

Oh and usually this is caused by slippery surfaces in the incubator or even the brooder. Especially in the incubator, the floor becomes very wet and slippery causing chicks to slip and strain tendons. Make sure you lay some of that rubber shelf liner down in your incubator next time, then put the eggs on top.
