Yes, some kind of pelvis bone. Picture #3 would be the way it would set in the body.

It is not a dog pelvis, though, I looked at some pictures online and it is not shaped like one.

do a search for bird skelton, and go to the wikipedia response, there is an anatomical sketch there with your bone in it! Yippee!

Judging by the set, I'd be more apt to say small mammal of some kind, than bird. I agree, those vertebrae are fused, but at the base of the spine ALL mammals have fusion-the only varience is how much.

Well, it's definitely not primate (or human)-we have a very distinctive flared pelvic bone.

I found it on the edge of a horse pasture, near the pond out in the woods, if that helps any.
