Help me im a beginner! Thank you guys!

I bought 2 bantam female light sussex' 1 week ago but they were born at the start of this year, (not sure exactly when) and I was wondering if anybody could tell me how long it would take for them to let me pick them up? (if anytime.) They are my first EVER pet chickens / bantams.

I picked them up right away my hatching place told me that if you hold them alot while they are young they will be alot nicer when they are older

Pick them up whenever you ant just wash your hands before and after

They are around 6 months old and I reckon they weren't held at the farm, (the place I bought them from) so I don't think they are that much tame. They don't let me pick them up they just flap away and get scared???

okay thank you I will try that out tomorrow and then post back up what happens??? they don't even let me hand feed them and just run a mile whenever I get CLOSE to them

What I would recommend is,,,get some food that they like....and sit and throw some out little by little....they will come around to eat. It will take time for them to get use to you. Take it slow and they are sure to warm up to the person with the yummy food!!

Get some scrambled egg , sit down somewhere comfy and tease them with it. Once they get a taste for it they'll be sitting on your lap.
