We sure do love "it" already ....silver laced polish( we were told) any ideas what sex it is?

The tall one is the bird in question the little one died

It's a bit too early to tell. Usually around 6 weeks of age they start to develop their physical sexual characteristics. Here is a site that can help with some earlier clues but it is very general stuff (like telling the sex of a pregnancy without ultrasound). It is a beautiful bird though!

it is too young. I myself can't tell gender on polish until at least 9 weeks.It is pretty!

Thanks everyone! Will repost pics....just to be helpful too to others needing info.... they are silver laced polish....so we were told from the seller.....they are soooo sweet we really enjoy.them

from what I know about polish (very little) is that the crest will be wild and spikey on a male and a rounded bouffant on a female. Your chick is adorable but seems to have a
crew cut' so guess it is too young to sex.

That is right, but like you said it is too young to sex as it is not going to display either of these charateristics until It gets older

lol. If it turns out to be a rooster that may change when it gets it hormones, all just depends.
