Hi there! I'm Micah and I am new to this community, as well as the crazy wonderful world of owning chickens. My parents and I bought 4 pullet chicks on March 22nd from our local Bomgaars store. We bought 2 amberlinks (the 'twins') and 2 dominiques (one of whom we call Gita) but sadly the dominique was sick and passed away a few days after getting her, so we then bought a slightly younger production red chick (who we call Ginger) around the 26th-28th so it's an even flock. Even though she was younger her diva-like attitude made her fit right in with the other girls!!
When we bought the chickens, the store attendant said they were about a week old, supposedly, and said the same of ginger when we got her a week later.
My mom and I have been going back and forth this past week debating, because I think the amberlinks and dominique are maybe a week younger than what we thought they were because of their feathers, while my mom thinks that the store attendant was right and that they are about 4 weeks old, approaching 5 weeks.
I'm having trouble finding good images of 3-4 week old amberlinks/dominiques/productions for some reason so I thought I'd give my chicks some fresh sets of eyes to help us figure this out.
These images are all recent as of last evening (4/08). PLEASE AND THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP!!

It can be pretty hard to pin down the exact age if you don't know exactly when they hatched....doesn't really matter, does it?
But the speculation and debate can be fun.
