Oh no! How can this happen in our beautiful, freedom-centered country?! And in Tennessee of all places!
Your birds can not harm anyone, so why the big concern? I'm sure there are dogs in your area that bark, wild birds that crow and sing, and other non-animal noises that could be much more disruptive than your birds. How are we going to keep them quiet?
Most likely they allow dogs or pet snakes that can actually harm someone if they choose to, right? I'm NOT an animal right's advocate or a "treehugger", but I love all animals and think that if kept properly, properly secured in their area, with all their provisions met and their living area kept clean should be allowed as pets.
Whoever is really driving this needs to consider the implications of totally banning your birds from the area...I mean what about parrots and parakeets? This could get way out of hand. There is a need for rules and regulations on keeping animals, because people can always take things too far, but a few simple ordinances like the ones posted on your blog should be sufficient to keep animal issues from getting out of hand.
OK...down from my soapbox...I am praying that your birds will not be taken away from you. I have only had mine for a few months and am absolutely blessed with all the knowledge and fun that I have had because of them.
