help me save this big bird

    we raised 2 tom turkeys this year one dressed out at 40 # and one at 42# how do we cook this monster bird i dont want to cut it in half as the wife does our oven is barley big enough for the big bird and we dont have a pan near big enough for it it is nearly the size of our 6 year old daughter please help me preserve this monster for our thanksgiving dinner

    Do you think wrapping it in a couple layers of aluminum foil and baking in the oven will work? Then flip 2 baking sheets upside down next to each other to give yourself a solid surface on the oven wire racks? I always line the bottom of my oven with 2 sheets of foil just so it's easier cleaning. And that should catch any drips.

    I always cut my turkeys in to pieces to roast them. It is easier to get the light and dark meats to the right temperatures if they are separated.
