Help me select a breed

Hello everyone, i wanted to ask a question.
Which egg laying breed would thrive in a free range farm (fenced half acre/two dogs) with supplementary food?
Must forage, be both heat and cold tolerant, brood and be good mothers.

What are your winters like?

In winter it can be -13 celsius and in summer as much as 39 under shadow.

Pheonix could be good, so long as you don't get ones with weak circulation. Would they have shelter?

Yes they will be sheltered.

As long as yours don't have bad circulation in their feet, I think they would work out great. Mine did until that issue popped into the gene pool

You can always select against the long tail over generations too to lessen protien needs for males even more

My ketwas and araucanas do really good too, but one is irritatingly hard to find from a good source and the other has the same 'they do well if they don't have circulation issues'.

Araucana have a tiny advantage from land predators because they can't be snagged by tail feathers. They still cab be hunted, but near escapes are more on their side than other chickens
