Iv got WAAAYS to go to learn. I hope to get there soon. I love them no matter what. I just wish I had some roostersHa not really but they can be one of the easier types of birds to ID males in by color pattern.
If you really want a rooster it'll probably be very easy to adopt on for free as spring chicks grow up - no need to buy one when people are always trying to rehome them to a good home.Iv got WAAAYS to go to learn. They have a comb, peacombs can be fairly flat when birds are young and will puff up a bit once they get closer to point of lay. These babies have NO comb tho. Is that normal? 7.5 weeks old.
I am going to ask some chicken tender friends for roostersIf you really want a rooster it'll probably be very easy to adopt on for free as spring chicks grow up - no need to buy one when people are always trying to rehome them to a good home.

EEs can have any sort of comb but pea combs are the most common I believe.I am going to ask some chicken tender friends for roosters
Ah so this breed has pea comb? I don't even know what they are really. "Americana" according to Coastal lolol. All I know is they are EE mixed with of something .... and they will give me Easter egg colors ?
Do you know anything about "Americanas" what they are exactly? I was duped by CoastalEEs can have any sort of comb but pea combs are the most common I believe.
As far as what colors of eggs you'll get, it should yield a variety of colors, but you won't know until they're grown up.![]()
It's a misspelling of Ameraucana which is an actual breed (and a more expensive bird), basically it's just an alternate term for Easter Eggers.Do you know anything about "Americanas" what they are exactly? I was duped by Coastalunfortunately.
I don't think it's a misspell bc it's everywhere. The name "Americana" is everywhere lol. Coastal even has it on their book of list of breeds. I am familiar with Ameraucana. I googled "Americana" and besides people claiming it's a mixed breed of EE and something, there's not much info on "Americana" lol. Frustrating. It's a misspelling of Ameraucana which is an actual breed (and a more expensive bird), basically it's just an alternate term for Easter Eggers.
