Well, marie, that's a sure-fire sexing method-just wait and see, LOL. I've had a few that gave mixed signals or simply signals that were not all that clear, but they do work about 90% of the time, at least among all the Barred Rocks I've ever been familiar with. The Barred Rock cockerels usually have much larger combs and pink wattles by four or five weeks old, then you'll know for sure.
