Help me with my project please?!

I am doing a NHD project for school and i need some sources about advances in the poultry industry raising broilers and egg laying hens. I know how i t used to be but i cant find anything on the interent about how it used to be done.

There was a nifty video in the Meat Bird section about the contests that started the run to make bigger, faster growing broilers. Unfortunately the thread was locked, but the documentary can be found online - google "chicken of tomorrow contest 1948".

This last July the Humane Society and the United Egg Producers agreed to a new system of caging to allow the layers more mobility.
