Help - Mean as a snake!

I have a 4 month old Buff Orpington that I hatched and raised (along with some others), but he his just plain mean!

He attacks my shoes when I go out, if you try to pet him he will grab your hand and won't let go.
If I walk around the outside of the fence, he will follow like he's agitated that he can't get to me to attack.

When he was a baby he would follow me and the kids around the yard, we would hold him and pet him, and he just acted like the rest of them.

Is there any way to calm him down?

We have one like that. Gave him a swift kick and told him he could be dinner at any time.
Now when he sees any human walking in that coop he understands...
